How HostOps Atlas ranks software
Every plan is first sorted into a group by what its vendor documents for your listings, channels and must-have features. Only the “Ranked” group gets numbers, ordered by your chosen priority. Commissions are removed from the data before this code runs.
Step 1: which group a plan lands in
| Group | When |
|---|---|
| Ranked | Eligible, with an exact verified price (and a verified price for any paid add-on a must-have needs), in a currency we can compare. |
| Different currency, not ranked | Eligible and priced, but only in another currency and no dated, sourced exchange rate is available. |
| Price pending | Eligible, but the price for your number of listings is not exact, a required add-on has no verified price, or the plan takes a commission per booking. |
| On hold | A channel you need or a must-have feature is not verified for the plan, or region eligibility is unclear. |
| Excluded | Over the plan’s listing cap, a required channel is not supported, a must-have is not included, or your input is out of the plan’s scope. |
Groups are always shown in that order. Inside the non-ranked groups, plans keep a fixed order by plan id.
Step 2: the order inside “Ranked”
- Priority “cost” (the default): verified monthly subscription price for your listings, including paid add-ons your must-haves need. Ties go to stronger channel connections (vendor-documented direct API), then fewer unverified items.
- Priority “channel reliability”: stronger channel connections first, then fewer unverified items, then price.
- Priority “features”: fewest unverified items first, then price, then channel connections.
- A final tie is broken by plan id, so the same input always gives the same order.
The order uses the subscription price, not total running cost. The wider cost views (software stack and operating cost) are shown alongside and do not change the order.
Data sources
Prices, listing caps, channel connections and features come only from vendors’ own pricing pages and help articles, saved as dated snapshots with verbatim quotes. No estimates and no currency conversion without a sourced rate. The rules are on About & method; every vendor’s starting price is on the software list.
Affiliate disclosure
Independent comparison. We earn a commission if you sign up through our links to Hospitable, Uplisting, Hostaway (affiliate links, marked "affiliate" and rel="sponsored"). Other vendor links are plain links to official sites. Commissions are never an input to the ranking: plans are ordered only by verified price and documented facts.
Host-tool cost pages also carry affiliate links to Turno.
Product links on Host gear are Amazon links: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
The sponsor slot is a labelled card and is never part of the ranking.
Corrections
If a vendor’s page now says something different, email [email protected] with the vendor, plan and page. We re-check the official source before changing anything.
